Traditional country garden design

Location: Goudhurst, Kent, UK

Twin 60-metre long herbaceous borders in Goudhurst, Kent, were looking tired and overgrown after nearly 60 years, so it was totally redesigned and replanted to suit its young owners.

Traditional blues, soft pinks and lilacs were interspersed with grasses to create a more contemporary feel.

Roses, miscanthus, saponaria, Cynara cardunulus, Agastache 'Black Adder', Pulmonaria 'Blue Ensign', Tellima grandiflora, Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy, Cornus kousa var. chinensis and Monarda 'Fishes' are just a few of the specimens included in this garden, which opens to the public.
