Gilles joined the practice as CMLI Associate Landscape Architect. He previously worked at internationally awarded firms Gustafson Porter + Bowman, Martha Schwartz Partners and Wirtz International on outstanding projects ranging from master plans to urban parks and residential projects to design competitions. Early in his career he worked as a volunteer with the National Trust in Kent for 6 months.
Gilles passion for the outdoors started early in his home country of Belgium. That passion grew into something more when he graduated in Landscape Architecture at Gembloux, where he also earned a post graduate in the subject. He loves bringing his creativity to unlock a space’s potential and create distinctive, functional and modern landscapes, particularly enjoying tapping into his planting knowledge to enhance the existing and projected design.
Gilles has lived in London for 10 years. He is very active, always on his bike, playing field hockey, tennis or badminton. He also enjoys some more adventure sports like off-road enduro motorcycling and scuba diving. At home, Gilles loves cooking for his family and friends and listening to his vinyls.
