Part of the pleasure of designing a garden for RHS Chelsea Flower Show is, for me, creating a garden that is very much a real garden: a garden which gives the sense that its owner has just stepped out of it for a moment, but will be back very soon. I need to ensure that the living space is a real space, and with the help of the fabulous Kendra and Megan Wilson of Ancient Industries, an awe-inspiring team of craftspeople and artists  has come together to work on the interior design of the oak-framed building. It is wonderful to be working with Gareth Neal again; Gareth designed the table and water feature for my 2010 Thrive garden, and is this year supplying two armchairs for the downstairs area.
