Will Howard

The son of a garden designer, Will brings a lifelong instinct for landscape and a well-rounded background in both practical construction and creative design. Though he briefly detoured to study psychology, the pull of the outdoors prevailed.

Will studied his master’s in landscape architecture at the University of Sheffield, after a year’s hands-on experience building high-end residential gardens. He entered professional practice in 2020, delivering large-scale public and commercial projects at a multi-disciplinary firm. Driven by a passion for planting and a desire to work at a more intimate, sensitive scale, Will spent three years with a bespoke garden design practice before joining Jo Thompson’s studio in May 2026.
