This month’s Garden Design Journal interviews Jo about the show garden she made at the GBA Shenzhen Flower Show, which included a gravity-defying brick pavilion created with the use of Augmented Reality. You can read more about the garden here.
Speaking about using the AR technology, Jo said: ‘It’s ideal for complicated and unique things; it’s for structures that would otherwise defeat the human mind. I wouldn’t use it for whole garden designs, selecting plants, making planting plans or setting out – that’s what we garden designers are for – but with AR, what you see in the picture is precisely what you get in reality.”
The I Live with Nature garden was awarded the Grand Gold Award at the GBA Shenzhen Flower Show in 2024.
